One of the best ways for a company to maintain the high levels of productivity without sacrificing scalability is to use saas business intelligence.  With more companies moving onto the cloud, companies can now “pay as they grow” without having to maintain an entire IT department. This allows smaller sized companies to stay on the cusp of rapid decision making without having to sacrifice an entire budget towards its attainment.

Our company in particular was searching for a way to utilize powerful dashboards that each individual can tailor to fit their needs. During our search, we came across a few different companies that carried on-demand BI solutions, but one company in particular stood out in terms of having a complete suite with high quality reporting tools. The companies name is called Actuate and their on-demand SaaS solution is BIRT onDemand. We decided to download the 5 license trial version of the software. We have begun testing it out and find it to be easy to use and very intuitive. One of our junior report developers was able to create over 10 reports without needing special assistance.
